Mindful with jei is a home for healing, connection, and embodiment led by jei (Janelle Lawrence)—a Black Afro-Latine interdisciplinary artist, certified mindfulness teacher, and medicine maker. Rooted in ancestral wisdom, community care, and creative ritual, jei’s work honors the body as a site of remembering and restoration.Through Mindful with jei, they offer:- Daily somatic singing and embodiment practices, centered in BIPOC healing traditions - Sound baths and guided meditations, drawing from Vipassana, Paramita, and Brahmavihara teachings - Herbal medicine, including tinctures, oxymels, and teas made with herbs like lemon balm, rue, mugwort, elderflower, and motherwort - Community fieldwork days and seasonal gatherings at Earthseed, where folks come together to plant, build, share food, and co-create joy through music, poetry, and storytelling - Intentional space-holding for grief work, ancestral connection, and collective dreaming Mindful with jei’s offerings invite folks to slow down, tune in, and root deeply—into the land, into their own bodies, and into each other. Whether through tending the soil, singing with intention, or sharing a potluck around the fire, their work is an ongoing practice of liberation, presence, and communal love.
